Ingredients
Beef Rib Eye Steak, 8 Ounces
Garlic, 1 Bulb
Lemon, 1/2 Lemon
Unsalted Whole Butter, 2 Ounces
Olive Oil, 1 Tablespoon
Thyme Sprigs, 5 Sprigs
Kosher Salt, to taste
Pepper Mill, to taste
Directions

Ingredients

  • 1 each Beef Rib Eye Steak (approximately 8 ounces)
  • 1 each Garlic Bulb, top removed
  • 1/2 each Lemon
  • 2 ounces Whole Butter, unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 5 each Thyme sprigs
  • Kosher Salt, to taste
  • Pepper Mill, to taste

 

Directions

  1. Remove steaks from refrigeration and allow to reach room temperature for evenly cooking.
  2. Season each side with salt and pepper
  3. In a skillet heated to medium high heat, add olive oil.
  4. Place steak, garlic, and lemon into pan, sear steaks for approximately 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and the center reaches medium rare.
  5. Add the butter to the pan and melt the butter until it begins to lightly  foam.
  6. Add the thyme, then baste steak with helted butter.
  7. Plate steaks, garnish with asparagus, garlic, lemon, and thyme.
  8. Drizzle with butter from pan.
  9. Squeeze out garlic then squeeze lemon juice over steak.
