80/20 Ground Beef, 1 Pound
American Cheese, 8 Slices
Hamburger Buns, 4 Buns
Lettuce
Tomato
Salt & Pepper

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound 80/20 Ground Beef
  • 8 Slices of American Cheese
  • 4 Hamburger Buns (recommendation: Love's)
  • 1 Sliced Tomato
  • Lettuce
  • Salt & Pepper

 

Directions:

  1. Form 8 2 ox meatballs from the one pound of ground beef.
  2. Liberally season the meatballs with coarse salt and pepper.
  3. Open all the windows in your house.
  4. Place 2-3 meatballs on a steaming hot cast iron skillet.
  5. Smash the meatballs down with a smasher or spatula. Cook for 30-45 seconds.
  6. Flip the burgers and add a slice of cheese to each patty. Cook for 30 seconds.
  7. Top a toasted bun with your favorite fixings and add your double cheese patty.
