Made in Italy by a family owned company. Our Maika`i olive oils are a blend of Spanish, Italian and Greek olives. Each country’s raw olive oil delivery is tested and tasted for quality, before their raw material supplier is allowed to make their drop. The raw olive oils are then cold-pressed, filtered through a sieve, then thru 200 very thick sheets of cotton and again, through one more filter before blending and bottling. To qualify as Extra Virgin, olive oil must come from the first pressing of olives. Cold pressed olive oil means there’s no exposure to heat or chemicals that may alter taste and quality. To ensure consistency from batch to batch, the olive oils are tasted and tested to ensure it meets our specs per every 10-ton batch.
