    Description

    Definitely a local favorite, this recipe for Mochiko Chicken is mouthwateringly delicious!

    Ingredients

    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 4 tablespoons mochiko flour (sweet rice flour)
    • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
    • 4 tablespoons sugar
    • 4 tablespoons shoyu (soy sauce)
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
    • 1 tablespoons sesame seeds
    • 1/4 cup green onions, finely sliced
    • 1/2 teaspoon, salt
    • 2 pounds chicken thighs deboned, bite-sized pieces

    Directions

    1. Cut chicken into bitesize pieces or slightly larger. 2. In a bowl, mix together mochiko batter ingredients. 3. Marinate chicken for 5 hours or overnight in refrigerator. 4. Fry in hot oil about 1 inch deep until thoroughly cooked and golden brown on both sides. 5. Serve hot or cold.
